Fiberglass display props are custom retail props made from glass fiber reinforcement and resin, molded into lightweight sculptural forms. Retailers and brands use them for window displays, pop-up stores, shopping malls, events and brand installations — anywhere a design needs large scale without heavy weight.
In visual merchandising, fiberglass is one of the most versatile prop materials. It can be shaped into animals, flowers, shells, candy, ornaments, oversized product replicas and abstract forms, while staying practical to transport, install and reuse. In our own production, fiberglass is the material we reach for whenever a client’s sketch calls for smooth curves, large volume and a flawless painted surface.

Where Are Fiberglass Display Props Used?
Fiberglass display props appear in luxury storefronts, seasonal window displays, pop-up shops, mall atriums, product launches, exhibition booths and brand photo moments. They are especially useful when a design needs three things at once: scale, sculptural shape and durability.
A two-meter flower for a flagship window, a herd of animals for a holiday atrium, or a photogenic centerpiece for a pop-up — these are typical fiberglass briefs. From our experience delivering props to stores across 40+ countries, fiberglass also travels well: pieces can be molded in sections, crated efficiently and assembled on site.

Common Types of Fiberglass Props
Fiberglass Product Replicas
Oversized bottles, bags, shoes, food replicas and branded product shapes. Scaling a hero product up to five or ten times its real size is one of the most requested briefs we produce, because an accurate oversized replica instantly reads as the brand itself. Explore our custom product replica props.
Fiberglass Sculptures and Characters
Mascots, animals, brand icons, fantasy figures and themed installations. These pieces usually start from a 3D model or clay sculpt, then move to mold-making and lamination, so complex organic forms stay faithful to the original design. Fiberglass Seasonal Props
Christmas ornaments, candy props, giant baubles, snow scenes and festive figures. Because fiberglass resists impact and weather better than foam or plaster, seasonal pieces can be stored and reused across multiple campaigns — a practical advantage when a retailer rolls out the same theme to a hundred stores. Fiberglass vs FRP: Are They the Same?
In retail manufacturing conversations, the two terms overlap almost completely. FRP means fiberglass reinforced plastic — the finished composite — while fiberglass strictly refers to the glass fiber reinforcement inside it. In practice, factories, agencies and brands use both words to describe the same sculptural display props.
If a supplier quotes you “FRP props” and another quotes “fiberglass props,” they are almost certainly describing the same material and process. For a deeper look at the composite itself, read our guide to FRP display props.
How Are Fiberglass Display Props Finished?
Fiberglass props can be finished with spray paint, glossy or matte coating, metallic effects, UV vacuum metalizing, flocking, leather wrapping or hand painting. The right finish depends on the visual style, brand color standards, viewing distance and installation environment.
For luxury windows viewed at arm’s length, we typically sand to a near-automotive smoothness before painting; for atrium pieces viewed from meters away, the budget is better spent on form and color accuracy. Learn more about display props surface finishing options.
